The Mariner For 2009
Coming with a new engine that has been designed to be fuel efficient and made to have the capacity to take in 2.5 liters of fuel, the Mercury Mariner model for 2009 seems to be one really good vehicle to be on the lookout for. And because one of the most important features that this vehicle has is that it has a fuel efficient engine is sure going to make tons of buyers wanting to own it.
To help out the 2.5 liter engine, the Ford Motor Company made sure that they put in other features so as to make the vehicle a better vehicle that would have lesser emissions and would make use of gas fairly well. And what the company did was they matched a smooth and completely new transmission system in the vehicle. The transmission is an automatic and comes with six speeds.
Experts certainly do agree that because of the changes in the engine and the transmission, the 2009 Mercury Mariner is going to do pretty well when it comes to saving fuel and also when it comes to having lesser harmful emissions. But that is not all that the 2009 Mercury Mariner has. See, Ford made sure that the vehicle would also have a good amount of power. The previous model’s power had been upped so as to be able to reach 170 horsepower for the new one.
Other features of the vehicle include 166 pound feet of torque as well as an electronic throttle control. Ford also added duel-model crankshaft damping in the vehicle. You would also find a PowerPC engine electronic control there. Because of these, experts in the automotive industry are saying that they would not be surprised that once the 2009 Mercury Mariner comes rolling down the streets, we all would also find the vehicle rolling up through “best” charts.
