What Can You Find In The Toyota iQ?

With the Toyota iQ being one of the newest vehicles in the market that is sure to make waves in urban areas once it becomes a production vehicle, it is important to take a look at just what this vehicle has got to offer except for the fact that it really is a good vehicle to drive in the city.

If you create a small car, one of your most basic tendencies would be make the components of the vehicle smaller than the usual. However, that is not what the Toyota Motor Corporation’s engineers did when creating the Toyota iQ. According to the company, what they did was they relocated the parts of the vehicle so as to make more space for passengers inside and still be able to have a small vehicle. Toyota is also proud to mention that despite the “relocation” of the parts, the Toyota iQ has also been made to pass the Euro NCAP’s rating for safety. The company is also saying that they are looking at being able to take home five stars with the vehicle.

Take out a measuring tape and you would find out that the Toyota iQ’s wheelbase measures 2000 mm long. It is 2985 mm in length and has a height of 1500 mm.

With the relocation of the Toyota iQ’s parts, you would find that the engine has been placed at the very corner of the vehicle. The same goes for the two wheels in the front. With that, the Toyota iQ now has 100 mm of extra space in the cabin and that is far larger than what the Toyota Yaris has.

Also, you would see that the fuel tank has been made to be flat and can be found under the floor. With that, the Toyota iQ does not need the extra length that other vehicles have.
