Proton Has New Car
If you were a car maker, would you be proud if you were successfully able to create a new vehicle? Would you be more than willing to show if off to the world? Or would you rather just keep this new vehicle of yours in pristine condition and keep it in your warehouse?
Surely, you would be showing it off. Who wouldn’t want to show off a new vehicle – a new development that you have successfully done? Well, that is what Proton Cars did when they created the GEN-2 Persona. They made sure that the whole world knew just what had happened and just what this car has got to boast of.
The Proton GEN-2 Persona is actually the newest vehicle in the Proton Cars range. This one has been made available only in the United Kingdom market as of this time. There are no reports yet though from the company if they would be sending this ride to other markets in the globe. So far, this vehicle has joined the company’s GEN-2 lineup of vehicles. It comes as a saloon with four doors and it is said to be the saloon version of the company’s hatchback which has quite become so popular in the UK market.
For power, the Proton GEN-2 Persona gets its spunk from a 1.6 liter Campro engine. This powerhorse has been crafted by Lotus, yet another company which is known for making superb and powerful rides. With this source for power, the Proton GEN-2 Persona is quite capable of going 110 bhp as well as 148 Nm of torque. It can even speed up to a high of 118 miles per hour. This engine has been mated to a manual transmission system that is matched with a five speed gearbox. Consumers also have the option of having an automatic four speed instead.
