World Car of The Year: Mazda2
When you say Mazda, most people would certainly ask, “Where?”
For most people, Mazda vehicles are something to reckon with. They are usually attached to Mazda vehicles because of the quality and design and performance that these vehicles have. And during the World Car of the Year awards which happened early this year, Mazda has yet another thing to be proud of – being able to take home the coveted title of the World Car of the Year. Well, not Mazda exactly but the company’s Mazda2 takes home that name.
It was not easy task to win that title. The Mazda2 had to contend with 38 other vehicles which all came from all around the globe. It even had to compete with some of the great ones in the industry which includes the Ford Mondeo as well as the high end Mercedes Benz C-Class. But because of the whole package that is the Mazda2, it actually made its way to the top and was able to take home that title.
Dan Morris is the senior managing executive officer for Mazda’s Marketing, Sales and Customer service department. On the Mazda2 taking home such a title, he was able to state that the company has been elated with that. He believes that it is a good way of recognizing the company’s efforts in bringing the best to the market. It would also be a good way to promote the vehicle and the brand.
Of course, celebrations for the whole Mazda company had followed after the Mazda2 had been able to grab the title. Just imagine how much hard work had gone into creating that vehicle and being recognized for that effort was really rewarding and really exciting.
Morris had even continued to disclose that the vehicle had also exceeded just what they had expected it to do. Indeed, being able to best all other cars from around the globe is a great feat.
