100,000th smart fortwo And Counting
When the smart fortwo was introduced in the automotive industry, it actually made quite a splash that it created a really loud buzz. And what is really interesting is that in a short span of time, the vehicle has received much success. In fact, just this March, the smart fortwo has actually sold 100,000 units already. And since it is already September, just imagine how many units has the company behind the smart fortwo already sold.
The 100,000th unit of the smart fortwo’s second generation has already been sold to a customer who was 36 years old. This is a new smart fortwo and Ulrich Kowalewski, the Mercedes Benz Center Munich director, has stated that the new generation smart fortwo is actually more comfortable compared to the previous unit. The vehicle has also been made to be safer, more friendly to the environment, and more dynamic. However, the smart fortwo has still been created to be a two-seater.
The people behind the smart fortwo are really proud of what they had created. In fact, Anders Sundt Jensen, the company’s head for brand management, has disclosed that this ride is currently being sold in 37 different countries all around the globe. He also shared that he looks at the good sales of the ride because of the smart fortwo’s capacity to be friendly to the environment and the capacity to be economic in fuel.
Italy and Germany are two of the countries where the smart fortwo is currently being marketed and sold. The company did disclose that these two countries actually take up a huge part of the whole sales of the vehicle. See, who would not want to drive the smart fortwo when it can allow you to save much on fuel. Imagine, this ride would consumer only a mere 3.3 liters of the very precious fuel and that amount of fuel allows the ride to go to a hundred kilometers already.
