Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli Makes A Comeback

Just in case you did not know, there has been a Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli years back. 25 years to be exact. And now, there is a new Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli and so it is said that this vehicle has come back.

For this year, Volkswagen has decided to bring the Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli back. And it has made its return in the United Kingdom. This ride has actually used the Volkswagen GTI’s bodyshell as its basis. However, the difference is that the Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli has been given more dynamics and added aesthetics.

For power, the Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli has been given a T-FSI engine which has a 2.0 liter displacement. The previous 200 PS that a T-FSI engine would be able to spurt out has been added so much so that the engine that the Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli has would be able to create 230 PS. This engine can be matched to either a six speed manual transmission or a twin-clutch DSG and that depends on which one you would want your ride to have.

When tested, the 2008 Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli has been able to clock in 6.8 seconds to speed from a total standstill to a high of 62 miles per hour. It can also drive to a high of 152 miles per hour and that would be its top speed.

Riding on alloy wheels, the Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli sports such wheels that have five spokes and measure 18 inches. That is an improvement over the 13 inches that the old one used to have. Of course, the 2008 Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli would not be a Pirelli if it did not come with Pirelli tires. And so you would find this ride to have 225/40 R18 Pirelli P-Zeroes.
