The new A4 brings itself with luxury endowed with features from new technology. It is graced with much more interior backseat room. Quality materials are incorporated throughout. The elegance is refined but never overstated. Finely tuned vehicles don’t try to impress, they are just impressive and the A4 falls into the latter category.
At first blush it appears to have been shorted by the design team, which certainly outdid itself on the A4’s luscious platform-mate, the A5/S5 coupe, but bestowed much less of that car’s swoopy curvaceousness on the four-door version. Its layout has been reengineered; allowing the front axle to be moved forward 6.1 inches. This created a shorter front overhang; a longer, sexier hood; and a more aggressive road posture.
The engine of this ride has four cylinders and is turbocharged. It can spurt out 211 horsepower and it can be mated to a manual transmission or with an automatic on six speeds. For both trannies, it can be used with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). A V6 engine unit is available with an automatic with six speeds. The new A4 also offers an optional system that allows drivers to choose just what kind of feel its ride, steering, and transmission shifts would have. The basic settings though are just right. The longer wheelbase that the car has helps stretch the stance. The front portion of the vehicle has a big grille with four interlocking circles and that, as we all know, is the Audi badge.
Apart from its variety of body styles, drive trains, and safety systems, the 2009 Audi A4 offers a host of standard and optional features that are among the best in its class. Leather is standard for its seats; Bluetooth, a navigation system, radar-assisted cruise control, a blind-spot alert system and the 500-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system with 14 speakers. It has improved crumple zones, advanced airbags that can adjust to the type of accident and person in the seat.
Let yourself enjoy the sexy and sporty feeling while driving an A4—the latest innovation from Audi.
