At the Paris Motor Show, a new vehicle that is worth a wait has been revealed. SEAT or Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo (Spanish Passenger Car Company) has introduced the new SEAT Exeo having a roof equipped with solar cells for powering the car’s ventilation system along with its conservative look. This car will serve as the 2010 model and will be released next year.

Its associate brand name Audi, influenced the design of the rear. The SEAT trademark in front seems identical with the design of the bumper and grille of SEAT Ibiza. Three engines that run in petrol of the newly launched Exeo that is capable of an impressive 02hp to 200hp power. On the other hand, common rail engines that run in diesel that has an impressive power that range from 120hp to 170hp will be produced.

The car exhibited in the Paris Motor Show has a 2.0L TSI engine that runs in petrol which acquired the rating of 36.6mpg. Comparing B7 Audi A4 and Exeo, the Exeo’s mechanical as well as its chassis are almost the same, among which is the four-link front suspension. It had been a long time since the issue about the reduction of emission from cars in order to protect the environment from the harmful carbon fumes. In response to this issue, Audi, a leader in car production has been producing a new line of cars. Audi now introduces Audi A6 TDI e, the most efficient automobile in its class.

The former Vice President of the United States of America and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Al Gore who is also named as the “Climate Ambassador”, recommended Audi A6 TDI e as the ideal vehicle with outstanding fuel economy. This model of car has been chosen and played a part in the Academy Award winning documentary film of Al Gore, The Inconvenient Truth. Truly, it has claimed the recognition of nature advocates as their chosen sedan.

The Audi A6 TDI e is powered by a diesel direct fuel injection system. It can develop 136 hp and has a top speed of 208 km/h (129.25 mph). Moreover, this automobile consumes only 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers (44.38 US mpg). Regarding its carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, it acquired 20 percent below the average for its class.

Audi was the sole partner of Al Gore and the rest of his advocates for his visit to the European country of the Netherlands from October 14 to 15. Audi A6 models were powered with GTL fuel, an alternative source of fuel that came from natural gas. Along with the combination of efficient Audi direct fuel injection engines, GTL can reduce fuel consumption by five percent. Meanwhile, the emissions of nitrogen oxides are reduced by 30 percent at the very most and carbon monoxide emissions by 93 percent. Sulfur oxides are eliminated all throughout, thus it had no way to contribute to air pollution anymore. Impressive decrease of emissions made milestones for Audi. Moreover, all Audi vehicles can now be powered with GTL.

The lovers of the Phantom in the Middle East should start rejoicing now. There’s good news for Phantom lovers in the Middle East as the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled their latest addition to this famed line of vehicles.

The Phantom Coupe sets its wheels for the first time in Middle East, a vehicle known for its style and agility. This line of vehicle and the newer Coupe is known for its fusion of form and function. The vehicle makes use of the cutting-edge technology together with the use of the stylish and a muscular body to form a car with greater dynamism and at the same time offering the best comfort for the occupants of the vehicle.

For the Regional Director for the Middle East Rolls-Royce, the Phantom Coupe features outstanding engineering, drivability and of course exclusivity. The new member of the Rolls-Royce family was unveiled in Abu Dhabi. The vehicle showcases the advanced aluminum chassis, which means the chassis will be strong. This will then impacts positively on the ride comfort that can be experienced by the occupants of the vehicle. The vehicle can also be used on long distances as powered by the 6.75 liter v12 engine that has the capability to deliver 453 bhp and 720 Nm of torque. Good news is that this has a segment-leading fuel economy.

The interior is a showcase as well as the interior is illuminated with the optional starlight headliner, and the presence of more than 1,600 fiber optics help make a ride inside the Phantom an experience to treasure for the night. Phantom lovers have a choice between the four-door Phantom, the Extended Wheelbase and the convertible Phantom Drop Head and of course the new Coupe. Prior to the official unveiling of the vehicle, a number of Phantoms have been delivered to the owners in the region.

Norwegians can now welcome with open arms the Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE Rotary Engine. This was made possible after Mazda Motor Corporation has announced last October 17, 2008 that the company has brought the vehicle to Norway.

The project of Mazda was in partnership with the Hydrogen Road of Norway project.  The project aims to effectively establish a clean energy transport system in the country that will be based on hydrogen fuel. On the same project, it is expected that Mazda will lease the organization with 30 vehicles after the on-road validation. The project is significant in a sense that this will be the first time that this car from Mazda will be put to use outside Japan.

The RX-8 Hydrogen RE is one of the cars of Mazda that takes to heart the motto and the slogan of the company, and takes to heart as well the company’s commitment to clean energy without compromising the performance and reliability on the road. Mazda is a well-recognized name when it comes to many industry-leading technologies. For example the car manufacturer is known as the only carmaker in the world to produce the RENESIS rotary engine. This kind of engine is known for its unique architecture, and the unique architecture allows for the better combustion.

This Mazda car has dual-fuel capability as well. This means this car can switch in between petrol and hydrogen. This makes the car a perfect addition to European countries where infrastructure for hydrogen is already set-up. A validation process will be in order before the car will be used on the road. The validation process means that the car will be exhibited to potential customers who are interested in leasing the hydrogen vehicle. Mazda executives are pleased with the project and plan to develop more of these cars.

Fiat is joining the fray. To introduce a concept a car, that is.

This new concept car from Fiat will be introduced in the Sao Paolo Auto Show. The auto show will start in October 30 and will run until November 10 2008. The new concept car is known as the Bugster and this was developed and designed by the local subsidiary of Fiat in Brazil, the Fiat Automoveis. This car was a locally designed car.

The new concept car will surely appeal to those car enthusiasts who are looking for a cool and fun-looking car. The ‘Bugster’ is definitely a fun-oriented and an electric roadster that was designed by the Fiat’s design studio called the Betim. It was said that the body of the new concept car will be made from natural fibers. Based from the released pictures of the concept car, the car is indeed fun, cool and will be a trend-setter. A closer inspection of the concept car will reveal that the car takes a few design ideas from the -KTM X-Bow. The KTM X-Bow is the first ever car that is produced by KTM, an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer. This car was developed in partnership with the Kiska Design, Audi and with the participation as well of the Dallara. This car makes use of the turbocharged Volkswagen TFSI engine.

Now back to the Fiat Bugster. The pictures released suggest that the new car from Fiat will be released in green color. The engineering group of Fiat that designed the concept car made the car a zero-emissions vehicle, which means this will become a cool addition to the market. Since the body of the car will be made from renewable fibers, then car enthusiasts can expect as well that this will lessen the environmental impact of the car.

Car drivers and the enthusiasts in China caught a glimpse of Chevrolet Equinox on October 21 this year. This zero-oil and environment-friendly entry of GM was introduced to the motoring public in China as part of the tour of this car model and as a way to introduce this environment-friendly car in the market.

The introduction of this GM model to the Chinese car drivers is just the start since the car manufacturer will be introducing a number of this car to the Chinese market. To start off the introduction of this fuel car in the country, GM has selected Beijing as the site for the kickoff of their promotional tour. This promotional tour will effectively show the many good things about this GM fuel cell car, and this will be intended as well to let the general public know about the eco-friendly energy that was used on the Chevrolet Equinox.

The car can run for 320 km on the power that can be provided by the hydrogen energy, and this fuel cell car has also the capability to reach 100 km/h in just 12 seconds. If the car will run on a full tank, the Equinox can run at a top speed of 160 km/h. as mentioned this entry from Chevrolet is environment-friendly. This is possible since the only waste that the car can deliver is pure water vapor that comes out of the car’s tail pipe.

The car is not powered by the typical engine, like the engine that people see and expect on the regular cars on the road. Instead of the typical engine, the Chevrolet Equinox will be equipped with fuel cell system. Since hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, then there is big future for hydrogen-powered car like the Chevrolet Equinox.

Lots of car manufacturers are launching their new makes and models. Almost all launching features new and more sophisticated cars. Chevrolet, Renault, General Motors, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and many more manufacturers have made their launchings and debut. With that, Nissan Motor Co,. Ltd. will also exhibit its new Nissan GT-R. It is modeled to be a quarter scale. It is considered as part of “The Spirit of Harmony and Japanese Design Today”. Said exhibit will last from Oct. 22, 2008 –January 31, 2009. It is actually an exhibit in Paris. The organizers of said event are the Japan Foundation and the Association of Japan Cultural Institute in Paris. 61 product designs will be featured that are coming from Japan. There are 12 categories namely tableware, furniture, information, kitchen items, toys, home electronics, stationary, outfits, vehicles, bags, bath items, sundries, and lighting apparatus. However, the exhibition will not only be held in Paris. Rather, it will also be held in Hungary, Germany, and other parts of Europe.

Nissan GT-R is a reflection of Japan tradition along with modern design. It is greatly reflected on the traditional Nissan GT-R. The modern GT-R was uncovered last Oct. 2007 at the Tokyo. This coming 2009 particularly in spring season, GT-R will be on sale in Europe. In fact, there are preordered made─ 2, 226 units. But what are the probable reasons why orders reached that much?

Customers will not order GT-R if they are not satisfied with its looks, specifications, and of course the price. To give and overview, Nissan GT-R is along the line of sports car. It is powered by VR38DETT engine. Its forced induction came from two parallel turbochargers. Specifically, these turbochargers are Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries or simply IHI. It can produce 480 bhp (360kW) at 3200-5200 rpm. It can also produce 416 hp (310kW) up to 475 hp (354kW). Aside from that, GT-R’s engine passed the California Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (ULEV).

Back in 3500 BC in Mesopotamia, a very significant invention along mechanical arena was created─ the wheel. It is believed to be the most important invention that led to more sophisticated and modern inventions. In fact, since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution almost every invention includes wheel/s. The idea of symmetry and circular motion has changed invention and lifestyle for years. From simple to complex invention, almost all have rotating components. Wheels have evolved from clay tablets used in ancient times, wood, and today’s modern wheels. But, wheels seen on vehicles nowadays are made of alloy, aluminum, metal, etc. Thus, Hummer H3 is unique.

As discussed earlier, Hummer is distinct from today’s vehicles since due to its wheel. What’s so important with its wheels? They are wooden wheels. Who says that wooden wheels are not good for today’s modernization? Well, Matthew Harrison, an artist unveiled his project at the zoo art fair. It is the new Hummer H3. It is a combination of off-road vehicle design and ‘Wild West’ wheels. Basically, they are created and sculptured to show real mixture of art and engineering.

The artist of Hummer, in behalf of Limoncello, is going to hold an exhibit of a gallery and this will happen in East London. Said exhibit will be featuring works from several art talents worldwide. The exhibit will surely be exciting and memorable. It is in said event that one may see a real vehicle running with old wheel concept─ the wooden wheel. Such creation showed that even in the modern world, one can create an invention unique from others. Thus, it is not only the concept of uniqueness rather, the concept of giving importance to prior inventions. As a whole, Hummer H3 is indeed a work of art mixed with today’s concept of modern auto. What a great mix! Don’t get surprised if one day you’ll see auto with wooden wheels running on the streets.

Renault is found along the automotive arena. It has created several models for years. Now, Renault announced that they are releasing another from its collections─ the Modus Tech’Run and Grand Modus Tech’Run.

They are limited editions from Renault that deliver innovation and change. They are carriers of driving pleasure, and driving one of them will make you realize the importance and convenience of low fuel consumption. How do they differ from other makes or models? Both the Modus Tech’Run and Grand Modus Tech’Run can be put in the pedestal due to their unique exterior and interior features. Its exterior features include complete set of lights designed to fit Renault’s tastes and creations. Fog lamp has the most distinct feature among all their lights. When it comes to body color, they are painted with metallic paints with lower bumper strips. Of course, never set aside the one who make them roll─ the wheels. Wheels are aluminum alloy that measure 15 inches.

Modus Tech’Run and Grand Modus Tech’Run are not just stylish and unique. They are also among the line up of eco-friendly vehicles. They belong to that line up due to their low fuel consumption, which means low emission. Their TCe 100 engine is a response in the continuing crisis in gasoline and fuel. Said engine is also capable of having 1.6 (145Nm) torque. The 1,149cc power plant boasts power output of 74 kW or its equivalent, 1.4L engine. Specifically, the fuel consumption has rate of5.9L per 100 km. Thus, the emission only ranges from 140g/km.

Thanks to Renault for creating Modus Tech’Run and Grand Modus Tech’Run. They are really economical, convenient, and eco-friendly! Owning any of the two may free you from the burden of high gasoline / diesel cost. Plus, you can be a part of the ‘save the Earth’ campaign by merely driving any of Modus Tech’Run and Grand Modus Tech’Run.
